Dr. Vahik Enjily

Vahik joined BRE in 1986 after a successful time at TRADA, Oxford Brookes University and R. J. Barwicks and Sons building contractors. He has previously held key positions at BRE within timber engineering, technology and construction sectors. Currently Vahik acts as International Director and Expert Witness for construction courts, industry and the public.
He has experience of transforming his fields of expertise from civil service business to a complete commercialisation. He is a qualified Chartered Engineer with a Fellowship of the Institutions of Civil, Structural and Wood Science and also a Member of the Mechanical Engineers.
The international arena has benefited from Vahik's expertise and knowledge, covering all aspects of the built environment. One of his responsibilities is to help clients realise their needs and put them in contact with relevant experts at BRE.
Vahik in the past has helped national and international industries to develop market strategies and their implementations. He is a part of many professional networks and has been in charge of many key projects, proved pivotal for EMC.
Vahik is coordinator of "Research Development Technology and Innovation" and a member of many European networks including the International Advisory Committee of World Engineering. Vahik has written many confidential strategic reports for several European industry organisations.
To add to his vast repertoire, Vahik has also provided independent advice for the Building Regulations, Forestry Commission, the European Commission and others
Dr. Adil K. Al-Tamimi

Adil K. Al-Tamimi is an associate professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the American University of Sharjah and Director of the Institute of Materials Systems (IMS). He has been with AUS since August 2000. Prior to this, he was a lecturer (assistant professor) with University of Paisley in Scotland (1997-2000). He was Founding Member of the International Advanced Concrete and Masonry Centre at the same university (1991-1997) with a long outreach history with UK construction industries. After graduation, he worked for three years as a site engineer with the National Company of Contracts & Construction. Dr. Al-Tamimi has a PhD in Civil Engineering (Structures) and an MSc in Civil Engineering (Structures), both from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK (1990 and 1987, respectively). He earned a BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Technology, Baghdad, Iraq, in 1977. He is registered with many professional engineering societies such the Concrete Society-UK and the UAE Society of Engineers, and is a Fellow of the Association of Building Engineers.
Kenneth Longmuir

Born in Scotland, Kenneth Longmuir spent his career involved in the day to day operations of Real Estate - working with and later joining the Boards of a number of European Companies specializing in Real Estate, Construction, Property Management Services and Property Developments. Many of these companies provided advice support and Property Management services to some of the very largest International Property Holding Groups and Conglomerates who held prestigious portfolios of prime Real Estate properties.
Later on, he took on the role of Mergers and Acquisitions Director for European and Middle East for one of the largest private Equity Mergers and Acquisition Companies Headquartered in Dallas,Texas. With knowledge of corporate finance, investment banking and Mergers & Acquisitions, Mr. Longmuir has consulted with hundreds of companies, both in the private and public sectors and set time lines for fast financial deals these also included full early and thorough negotiations with many Worldwide financial and Banking Institutions some of which were either investing or exiting thereby always maximizing value.
He is now involved in all aspects of Group Real Estate Management, Land Acquisition and International Joint Venture Business Development of Al Madar Group, which focuses on Green Design and Energy saving concepts for Property Developments.
As a senior member of the Speakers Club Mr. Longmuir has addressed many conferences and events throughout the world speaking on a range of subjects.
Dr. Imad Al Jamal

Dr. Imad Al Jamal is the Vice Chairman of the Higher Technical Consultative Committee of the UAE Contractors’ Association, and the Managing Director of the International Dispute Resolution and Arbitration Centre (IDRAAC). Dr. Al Jamal has considerable experience that he has gained throughout the last 28 years. Through his personal and professional contacts with both government and private institutions such as ADNOC, ADCO, ADGAS of Abu Dhabi, and DEC, EGPC and EPPCO of Dubai, as well as with various government departments and private bodies in Sharjah, he has a unique perspective into the legislative issues of the UAE.
Dr. Al Jamal has extensive professional experience from working with major local and international construction and engineering companies, as well as contract consultancies, where he was involved in major project aspects such as quantity surveying, risk analyses, and cost claim/defense preparation. His current post at IDRAAC reflects his promotion of dispute avoidance, management and resolution through negotiation and arbitration.
